She didn't have to go in person. She could have done it in a way that used a lot less carbon emissions, teleconference. Appealing to world leaders in person is not an excuse to raise your carbon footprint while demanding world leaders force their citizens to lower theirs or they are stealing her childhood. She is a hypocrite, just because as big of a hypocrite as a politician like Al Gore, does mean she is not a hypocrite.
Also the main point is that she is damaging the environmental movement with her commie bullshit, she does not care about the environment, even if she has tricked herself into believing that she does. She thinks the only solutions to climate change are ones that undermine capitalism and shit on western civilization, real environmentalists would throw her under the bus with glee, only fake environmentalists and useful idiots defend her. Raising awareness for the cause by associating it with communism to grab attention is not a good look, pro tip.
It's time for those claiming to be environmentalists to decide what is more important, crushing capitalism or helping the environment, because crushing capitalism does not help the environment, so stop making it the main pitch and denouncing all environmentalists who disagree as agents of the evil colonialist patriarchy stealing the childhood of little girls. Thunberg does the environment no favors, she just thinks she does, because she's a commie who thinks the solution to all the world's problems is more communism, never stopping to realize that communists have a terrible environmental track record.
