Re: MHF Democrat Primary Poll
The parties know when they have a good chance of winning and when they don't
An Obama, or a Trump, these are what I call Phenomena Candidates.
Don't blow your wad against the zeitgeist, wait for it to pass, then make your move.

You say that, as if there is someone who they can nominate that isn't going to lose.clubgop wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:09 pmThat next line of succession thing means you lose. Especially Democrats. Do we really think the establishment wants to lose, that they can't see the oncoming train?Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 5:37 pmBloomberg doesn't stand a chance against Biden, never mind Trump.
Bloomberg is not really a politician, he doesn't know how to mix it up in the trenches.
Biden at least is a player, Bloomberg is out of his league going against Biden or Trump.
Weak as Biden may be, he's still gonna get the Nom,
He's next in line of succession, that's how the Democrats roll.
The only real question is who is going to be Biden's running mate, that is what they are fighting over.

Bernie stuck around and probably will as long as his heart is still beating. Democrats have become the party of absolute sore losers. Everytime one of them drops out the whining begins and no one has even voted yet. When people actually start voting they might actually stick this thing out.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 5:58 pmHe can play spoiler, if he's really lucky, that's about it, and he'll side with Biden over the other options anyway even if that is the case. He's a Buttigieg spoiler, not a Biden spoiler.clubgop wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 5:57 pmNot about saving, being viable is. Hell he could go independent afterwards. I don't think he can win outright but he can spoil and maybe even play kingmaker. The media party isn't going to be 0.1% on the media mogul. Maybe 3% or 4%. Kamala levels are fine for others with a fraction of the budget. He can make that work.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 4:59 pmHaving a media company to shill for him won't save him either. He's polling at Kamala Harris levels dude. He's Captain Stop and Frisk in 2020 Dem Primary, that is non-starter, use your fucking head. He is the most hated person in the entire field, he doesn't even have a 0.1% chance.
Whoop dee do Basil, that isn't even worth talking about, boooring. Anyone who thinks Bloomberg actually makes this race interesting is engaging in wishful thinking, sorry to burst your bubble, the race is pretty much a foregone conclusion, you ain't getting your exciting finish, you ain't getting a brokered convention, it's never going to happen. People are going to drop out when they lose, not stick around to the end and hope they win a brokered convention, that's not a thing.
If Bloomberg runs as an independent, then Trump wins by an even bigger blowout than he'd win otherwise.

No one they want. Bernie can win, make no mistake he plays the same electoral map that Trump does.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:18 pmYou say that, as if there is someone who they can nominate that isn't going to lose.clubgop wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:09 pmThat next line of succession thing means you lose. Bernie can't win. You're on crack, socialism does not play in the Rust Belt. Biden will do better than Bernie would. The Dems have no one, therefore Biden not being able to beat Trump doesn't hurt him because none of his opponents can win, and he's the most electable of the bunch.
Hell even if you were somehow right about Bernie being able to win, which you're not, the Dems would rather lose than run him, so again, doesn't hurt Biden.

Bernie will stick around, but that doesn't mean Biden is going to lose, or there is going to be a brokered convention just because he does.clubgop wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:25 pmBernie stuck around and probably will as long as his heart is still beating. There's no change in the last four years, the Bernie Bros can't win
All they can do is play spoilers to help Trump beat Hillary Biden.

Re: MHF Democrat Primary Poll
This forum is filled with a bunch of Hillary Haters who think they only reason Bernie lost is because the DNC screwed him. Their hatred of Hillary is so strong it causes them to totally overestimate the guy who ran against her.

Nothing has changed in the last four years, both sides are in the same trenches.
It's gonna be a do over. Once Trump is gone, things open up for the Democrats again.

See the Hillary Haters agree, but they think that Bernie would win in a do over, because they are blinded by wishful thinking that the only reason he lost was because he got screwed, instead of realizing that even if he hadn't got screwed, he would have lost, badly.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:52 pmNothing has changed in the last four years, both sides are in the same trenches.
