So, what, you're a permanent bachelor, Monty? You've got no woman in your life?
Never say never but it's not high on my list of requirements for a happy life.
I like my time to be my own and I'm not really the settling down type.

It's not that I've never tried, I like the company of women and I've fallen in love many a time.
Just never been lucky enough to fall in love with the right girl maybe.

Back in the day, I'd have lots of girls banging on my bedroom door.
Sometimes I'd even let them out...
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

So he was stabbed in the back, which is why I understand his rage, because I can't even imagine what I would do if my wife turned out to be against me.
I understand betrayal from the point of view of the betrayer.

It's still about fear.

For me it wasn't fear of loss, it was fear of closeness.

I experienced love as suffocating. I know now that this was irrational... but fear is never rational.

Fortunately I have confronted this fear, I knew this woman was good and not smothering... I knew it was me... so I manned up.

Fear is the enemy of love.

I get you brother, I'm always your friend either way, what's between you and your woman is not between you and me, I don't judge you.

It's never been my way tho, I'm no angel, I'm a right son of a bitch actually, but I've never done a woman wrong in that way, I was with one at a time, until it broke off, never done two at the same time, except for a threesome when they were both in the bed with me together.

It's nice to know you're a friend, Smitty.

You and I couldn't be more different.

And we most certainly don't agree on many things.

But I respect you, warts and all, and you do likewise.

This is what friendship should be.

Salut!

As for StA... I get him and respect him...
I hold no grudges. He is clearly a smart and capable guy.
I'm not sure about the status of our friendship.
StA has never extended a hand one way or the other...
But that's ok too.

I consider all of you part of a bizarre form of extended family.

You were always there for me when everybody else was cursing my name, you stood by me, kept me company, I'll never forget it, I've got your back, homey.

They came for you hard in that Logical Insanity thread, and I had your back. You did go a little far, but I got where you were coming from, not sure why Dan had to be a dick about it.

I was thinking of the Hockey Wars...

The dragon got ya bro...

I knew it was the dragon and you were just being carried along for the ride.

I knew the dragon would blow over and you would be back... I missed you while you were gone.

That dragon is a bitch tho!

It was just that Dan was coming at me behind his followers, he rallied his troops against me, so it was like a melee, I was taking them down, one after the next, and I just kept fighting through, and then I closed with Carlin once I broke through, just reflexively, because the fight literally went on for days, I was exhausted, so I just finished him off before I really considered what I was doing.

Oh fuck, you were in the wrong there, siding with the English against Brock and Tecumseh; disgusting.

We dindu nuffin, it was all perfectly justified, and proportional retaliation, in the face of whining about on topic posting, calls for us to be censored, and us being censored. As the other side escalated, we escalated according, and we won. Now the moderation around here is better than it ever was, we won even bigger than we thought we had at the time. You all should be thanking us.
