It doesn't appear that anyone on the right would change their positions if Jehovah himself took the chair and confirmed that the accusations are 100% true and Trump indeed was extorting Ukraine. They really don't care at all about rule of law as long as they keep power. So the point of the inquiry isn't the truth, everyone on both sides already knows it. It isn't to remove Trump, ain't gonna happen since the Senate GOP is his lapdogs and he could shoot someone on the senate floor and they'd all swear they didn't see it.

It's to expose as knee jerk immoral partisans the GOP politicians who will continue to support him long after it's obvious to even the the most diehard that Trump did what he is accused of.
