I'll add some United British Commonwealth Forces (UBC) to the mix.
With all the other Spacepower hegenomies being hostile, UK, CAN, AUS, NZ just team up with America UKUSSA
MI6 Security Intelligence Service - Space Operations Executive (MI6 SIS - SOE) ; works with CIA XAG
They fly and fight with the Americans, Allied Forces, they are Joint so they use the American kit.
LMT XV-11Charlie Apollo 'Grenadier' w/Custom A.I.s for Brits, Aussies, Kiwis & Canucks.
2 Special Air Service Brigade (2 SAS) Space Operations Squadron (SOS)
Royal Navy Space Frigates with Royal Marine Commandos. 44 Commando Battalion RM 'Condor'
Air & Space Warfare Cadre.

Re: The Space War Thread
I can't actually use 'Bon Scott', so I'll tweak it to just 'Bon Scot'
I'm going to model him on an MHF member ; Bon Scot is modeled on ManWithNoName.
I'll model my Canadian on a boss of mine in the regiment, Ojibwa Indian, Warrant Officer, Supersoldier
I'll model my Brit on Bear Grylls. He's from 21 SASR Artists Rifles.
Bit of a lad, likes to party.
My Kiwi will of course be a Maori.
Modelled on Willie Apatia VC

Re: The Space War Thread
On the Saturnian Moon Iapetus, its another Moonbase City
This one is different tho, it's run by the UN, for the ITMP, it's much more civvie than Ganymede
International scientist Terraformers and support staff.
The Moonbase Cities here are not militarized. They are open cities, the civvies come and go as they like.
The Spacepowers have military installations, but they are small, just gateways to the Moon Cities.
The Spacepower military personnel go on leave here.
They wander around like tourists, they mingle with the civvies.
The Terraformer scientists are skeptical of them, but the more proletariat support staff thinks they are so cool.
The military personnel are required to wear uniforms on Iapetus, so they stand out.
The Spacemericans call Iapteus 'Little Saigon'
This is where the combatants come face to face, down at the bars, they can't fight tho, they have to behave
Until the civvies start an MMA competition, then the troops enter to prize fight each other.
Astronaut v. Cosmonaut, the Octagon in Space. Not for all the marbles, but see you later in the Rocks, M'fer.
At first, the USSF Combatant Commander wants to put a stop to it, ban the Americans from fighting
Eagle Claw talks him out of it "let them fight, good training"
The Russian chain of command is all for it, they order their Operators to fight, PSYOPS, show them whose boss.

What? You're not going to model your Brit on me? I'm hurt.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Is it because counterweight trebuchets don't work in zero-g?

There is g on Iapetus, it is 0.2 Earth gravity, so your model Trebuchets work better in space.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 5:06 pmIs it because counterweight trebuchets don't work in zero-g?
Someone comes into your office ; they have to dodge the marbles launched from your desk.

OK, I'll settle for greening the moons of distant planets.
Put me down for running the recycling on all bases too.
Won't get a callsign as a civvie though and I had Boudicca in mind.

I bet I could juggle 9 balls in low g. So much more time before they come back down again.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 5:12 pmThere is g on Iapetus, it is 0.2 Earth gravity, so your model Trebuchets work better in space.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 5:06 pmIs it because counterweight trebuchets don't work in zero-g?
