Sadly, Monty is the only one that wants to play, so the pickings are slim.

Bad poll choices. It's "rude" when there's no context. The left has made instigating a lifestyle and then feigns being oppressed when people fight back. Stay out of our lives and we won't care. You don't get to control speech through legislation, imprisonment, and rioting because "my mental health suffers because I know people disapprove of my choices." I don't care if you think you're a woman, but I think you're mentally ill. Your quest to indoctrinate and turn children into transgendereds is overstepping and you shouldn't be surprised when people fight back.
Not much I could argue with there anyway doc.
Apart from being ok with limitations on inciting hatred publicly and I'd use the less pejorative ''mental condition'' over ''mental illness''.
I'm not really ''the left'' though.
You are especially right about the choices, I can't vote for any of them.

Exactly. What are we even arguing about? It's not Congress, it's not Westminster, it's just a pub.

We could argue over whether it's a pub or a bar.
It's more like an Amsterdam cafe for me right now. All that is missing is the space cake.

There's nothing to argue about

Marty Hash is right, nobody is ever convinced of anything, so trying to convince is a fool's errand.

If we're not going to argue what's the point of going to the pub?

I blame the internet, you can't even get into a good row about Elvis's middle name or which King got a poker up his arse anymore. Someone just asks their phone and kills it with facts.

I always just went to the pub to hang out with mates, listen to music, watch some sports, eat some grub.

We didn't really argue, because we were all in agreement, mostly we just tried to pick up chicks.

Yeah, we got in fights with civvies, but those weren't arguments, those were fights.

We can have a fight if you want, I'm up for it, by why pretend that is argument?

There wasn't even arguments on the DCF.

Dan always said it was just a virtual pub.

Really it was just brawling, fights with memes and crowds cheering from the peanut gallery.

In between there was some interesting conversations with characters who came and went.

The most fun I ever had in pubs was before I was even old enough to drink legally. I was working in a pub at 14 and on quiet nights the manager would get out an encyclopedia and we'd have impromptu quizzes amongst the handful of customers propping up the bar.
We were 40 years ahead of the Pub Quiz trend which is now endemic.

A few nice remote riverside pubs on the Broads that I like but apart from that, I've never been a great fan of them.
