I met an ex FFL years back. Reminded me of the fella you said about. Denny? Dendy? As laid back as you could get, but because he could be. Did 6 years (I think) in the aus army and then 5 or whatever over there. I only knew him briefly but it was an interesting conversation at a BBQ. I never had much to do with him other than the BBQ chats a couple of times, but last I heard he was working in homicide... solving it that is.
