it's not just Paris, check out some medieval castles n' shit, military fortresses, Le Mans, the Pyrenees, the South.

It's there to make you or break you. But WFT is 3 months out of your life. Suck it up. After you get the kepi you can be the real you (within limits) because you have proved you have what it takes, and that will forgive a bunch of stuff.

The difficulty increases as you go, but you're doing pt all day every day, the course is designed to be passable.

It's not like SAS selection, this is just infantry.

There are long marches nearer the end, but you just have to keep up, you don't have to be a racing snake.

it's not like the SAS where you are competing for a tiny number of slots, the Legion has to man a whole brigade.

The Legion is not trying to fail you, they want you to make it, because then they've got you by the balls.

They will train you whether you like it or not, they just want to see who is going to go AWOL first.

Getting into the Legion is easy, escaping is the hard part.
