An infantryman's battle is mostly against the climate, weather and terrain.
Too hot, too cold, too wet, too muddy, thirsty and hungry.
If you can handle that, that's the hard part dealt with.
In terms of the tactical and close quarters aspects, that's the fun part.

The twin obsessions become sleep and dry.
You have two sets of fatigues, a wet set and a dry set.
The best part is putting your dry kit on and going to sleep in the bush.
The wort part is having to put your wet kit back on when you are awoken.
Recreation is food; what's for supper? Eating is fun.
Entertainment is smokin' & jokin'; hanging with your crew.
