Why is it that, when I look up a Wikipedia page about a list of genocides by body count, the Jewish Holocaust is number one and the table lacks a "sort by" function to put it in the appropriate ordering?
Should not a page titled "List of Genocides by Death Toll" be ranked according to death toll?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of ... death_toll
Weird..
Everipedia is better, and as far as I can tell not run by SJW's, but their list of genocides is not sortable either.
If we attempted to make a historical list, who's on top Genghiz Khan ?
1. Ghenghiz Khan
2. Muslim Invasion of India
3. Mao's Great Leap Forward
4. Stalin - Holodomar, Purges
5. ???
There's no telling, honestly. It's not like everybody kept meticulous records of how many people they killed (except the Germans, apparently). The Holocaust is huge probably because it helps spin a narrative where the Allies were the "good guys" when, in reality, they were just
our guys and everybody was doing shitty things across the board. It's sort of like the slavery issue in the civil war. Mao's Great Leap doesn't do anything to boost the American narrative one way or another. It had nothing to do with us, so the MSM cannot use it well in movies.
I suppose we can look forward to some horrific movies about the Russian genocides now that Russia is the MSM's big bogey man now.
The one thing the MSM does really well is make the Holocaust personal. They do that all the time by showing scenes of white dudes married to Jewish women who are getting carted off to the camps. Then the guy watching this imagines himself in that position and realizes he'd make Inglorious Basterds look like a Charlie Chaplain film.
They don't do that for China, or Africa, or any of those other places. There are a few movies about the Russian gulags, but that's about it.
