You are definitely not going to want to be considered "retired" when we get elderly. Death panels are going to be pretty fucking awful, and you'd be better off dying earlier on your tractor in the fields of your remote homestead than going to any kind of retirement home.


My guess is that, when this becomes a one-party democratic country, going on retirement is a death sentence of some kind. They don't need to raise the retirement age. They just need to fast track people on retirement for death panels so they can deny health care.

Your assumption that the polls actually reflect voter sentiment is the problem. For sure the propagandists who run the polls are going to exploit this heart trouble to scuttle the Sanders campaign in that way, but it doesn't mean that's how people actually behave or think.

If I had to guess, the Bernie voters will split between Warren, Yang, and even Tulsi. The polls will only show a boost to Warren if they feel like doing so, however. These polls are not actual measurements of anything. They are propaganda tools meant to manipulate people into voting a certain way.
