There's not going to be a war. The Senate is not going to remove a President from office for this chickenshit.
The Senate might have removed Nixon in 74', but I don't think they would now.
Any Senate is going to be loathe to remove a President, it has to be smoking gun; serious felony.
Partisan hackery ain't gonna get it done,

It's not just a vote. It's a full blown trial with both sides having the right to call witnesses and perform cross-examinations.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 11:19 pmIf the vote were cast anonymously they sure as shit would vote to remove him.

As long as there’s no vote, the minority has no power to call witnesses. There will be no vote until right before the election to keep it one-sided.

Uh, sort of.
Ask any lawyer with litigation experience.
Once a lawsuit is launched, it takes on a life of its own, in quite the literal sense.
If the DNC wants a full-on circus in the Senate, ok. These dipshits might be planning on having a show run by Hans Delbrück, but they best be prepared for the creature with "Abby Normal's" brain to get off the leash.

I think it foolish to assume the Senate won't convict even for a non-crime at this point. To fully grasp what these neoliberals and Marxists are capable of, go take a ganderat historical accounts of kangaroo trials in the French and Russian revolutions. These are people who believe right and wrong is just whatever the law says, and if they can get judges and politicians to say so, then it is so. If the magistrate says you are guilty, then you are guilty. and off to the guillotine. "La République n'a pas besoin de savants ni de chimistes; le cours de la justice ne peut être suspendu."
Stock up.
Stock up.

t's anybody's guess.
It's a quasi-trial in the Senate, straight outta Kafka central casting.
A trial not about legal standards, but raw politics. Pure power.
Quite literally impossible to predict outcomes, but the hope for somehow achieving a happy ending (in the short-term) seems completely infantile.

That's got Canada beat, up here the PM can blatantly obstruct justice at will, nobody says boo about it.
If anybody not from the state propaganda arms asks a question about it, they are led away in handcuffs.
