When CNN’s Martin Savidge visited the Iron Range – known for mining taconite, a mineral used in steel production – he witnessed a major disconnect with the radical socialist agenda being touted by the Democratic Party and a massive shift toward Trump’s economic policies that has been putting many working class Americans back on their feet.

Only one Republican president – other than Trump presumably in 2020 – has been successful in this deep-blue Democratic stronghold for nearly 90 years.

I really love the way the Democrats are campaigning this year. With more honesty about their goals than ever.

They are displaying the raw hatred and contempt for average Americans and American values. Their long hidden goals to concentrate all use of force in the hands of the government and take away weapons from the public. Their long hoped goals for full central planning out of the Imperial city by way of Socialism. And full control of all speech and economic activity. That illegal foreigners are more valuable to them than generations long American citizens.

The Democrat base was the same gun grabbing commie sympathizing wannabe socialists back in the 80's

They were just as hysterical about the Gipper as they are about the Trumpster.

They were screeching about the Contras and Mexican immigrants being picked on, and Fascist Collusion with Pinochet!

Dutch Reagan was the Crazy Cowboy who was going to blow the world up.

Nuclear war was the Climate Doom.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Plenty of similarities.

The big differences I see are that Mondale was looking out for Americans first, there was still some concern over jobs and budget issues.

This year the Democrats have called for taking away everything from Free Speech to Healthcare Choice to food choice. The list of shit they want to take away is crazy. There is an overriding, seething hatred for Average Americans. The 1984 Dems didn't have that.

They may very well have been the same then, but this time they are just more honest about it.

Social Media just brings it out more, but they were same America bashing lefties back then.

This is why they got so excited for Bill Clinton.

At long last, they had their lefty POTUS.

Except his first term was a disaster, so he had to Triangulate himself into a pseudo Republican to get reelected. lol.
