Not much, just enjoying the last of summer amongst the red and green maples in Wellington County, Upper Canada.
How are you, son?
Oh man it's been raining all week. Becoming an annual thing to flood around here. But it's been great. The weather is cooler and my boss gave me a sabbatical because work is slowed up this time of year anyway so I've just been sleeping and reading a good book all week.
About to pull the trigger on a yeet cannon next week. Can't wait to see how spectacularly it fails to eject. So I got a bunch of different loads to try it out.
What care I who makes the laws of a nation
Let those who will take care of it's right and wrongs.
Who care I who cares for the world's affairs
As long as I can sing it's popular songs?
Let me croon a low down blues that lifts you out of your seat.
If my blues can reach your shoes and start you tapping your feet, I'm happy.
Let me sing of Dixie's charms, of cotton fields and Mammy's arms
And if my song can make you homesick, I'm happy.
