It is almost certainly about 99% genetics. Mostly mating strategy (weak men collectivize against strong men while strong men prefer to compete as individuals), female versus male evolutionary psychology (feminine political correctness and feelings-based policies as opposed to masculine merit-based policies), and even racial biases (Europeans tend towards individualistic high-trust societies, Mexicans towards slightly more collectivist societies where order is maintained through violence).

Maybe 1% of the population actually votes for pure ideas, and most of those ideas are retarded anyway.


Maybe I should rephrase it more narrowly so that my intent is clear: I think the average person's political actions (what they say and how they actually vote being two different activities within a larger mostly subconscious strategy) are independent of evolutionary psychology at best about 1% of the time. If you think you rate higher than that, then I'd suggest being a bit more objective about yourself and self-aware. The statistical correlations between politics and factors such as race, sex, social status and even physical strength are all well-documented and duplicated.

It has nothing to do with Genetics or Biology, it has to do with the carrot and stick mentality. The DNC has been toting the carrot way too long, and people have gotten accustomed to being promised the next "free" thing, but when it doesn't show up, it's because of the "Evil Republicans!", and they don't explain, or the Republicans that it has nothing to do with the fact the promises were unrealistic. Since when they do, it looks like the Republicans are carrying only a stick because they refuser to let people get harmed by false promises.

A lot of the Republicans that have gotten into office has promised a lot and not followed through, Trump is one of those rare instances that has kept most of his promises. (I didn't say all)

With that being said, you have people on the DNC side trying to outdo each other, Beto saying he is going to be taking your guns away from evil law-abiding citizens because of "muy feelz!", Warren and Sanders both are tried and true "Free shit", such as free tuition... which shows how out of touch they are since tuition is cheap, it's the fees that kill you.

Let's not forget free healthcare for all and forcing people to work for "free"... which in reality isn't free... because well someone has to pay the burden, and when people say they are willing to pay higher taxes for "free" they don't understand that as soon as it becomes "free" because the government will pay for it, the cost will increase exponentially.

People who are lazy and don't think will walk towards "free" every time without thinking about the consequences because they don't have to pay them at that point in time, but they will later in life when more people start going for the "free" stuff and not putting into the system that makes it free in the first place.

People like SwA blames eugenics and thing of the sort because it's an easy scapegoat since no one really wants to touch the topic.

If we were being honest, the majority of the issues we are dealing with today is because of the lack of drive, confidence, and expectation of doing better for one's self. That as long as there is something there to pick them up and give them "free shit" we are going to see people living at the poverty line or lower because it's too "hard" to make a living... this is all going to come to a head when we start realizing that we could reduce government by 25% easily by reducing the graft that it gives out, and another 25% on top of that by reducing the population the DC infrastructure back to pre-9-11 numbers and consolidating the infrastructure to work more agile in the process.

We will never see someone willing to do this, but right now Trump is trying to shine light in places we haven't seen in decades, and it's a start... but most people don't look at it that way.
