African Technology: Somalia Launches First Home-built Tank
Somalia has launched its first “military style vehicle”—built out of scrap by a local mechanic in Mogadishu and “inspired by the war on terror,” has made its appearance, according to a report in the Africanews service.

Finally!
Robert Mugabe death: Zimbabwe’s former president dies, aged 95

Zimbabwe’s long-serving president Robert Mugabe has died in Singapore at the age of 95, the current president Emmerson Mnangagwa said.

Mugabe had been travelling regularly to Singapore for treatment and died after a long battle with illness, his family said.

He ruled Zimbabwe for nearly four decades, before he was forced out in a military coup in November 2017.
Good riddance.

Agreed.
Mugabe destroyed the nation once known as Rhodesia. The citizens will say in whispers, for fear of being killed by the government, that the country was better off under the rule of a few white brutes. The life expectancy in Rhodesia was 60 years, it is now just in the high 30's.

Little article on this thats a couple years old

We will get to watch the Mugabe Effect, I'm coining that term, on South Africa first.

Anyone that talks about it seriously admits the land was better as Rhodesia under white rule. Here's two articles from vastly different political perspectives and both agree.

From the Vanguard
Zimbabwe (previously named Rhodesia) is almost like a TV sitcom, except it’s not funny. Once a nice, safe, White-ruled country with the greatest farmland in Africa, Zimbabwe is now a negro-ruled wasteland, totally bankrupt and miserable, run by a Black communist and anti-White thug named Robert Mugabe. Notice how the “Western” media all but ignores the daily horrors of Chimpbabwe. The sad thing is, the West played a key role in turning Rhodesia into Zimbabwe; yes, international Jewry played a vital role as well, but not all by itself [1]; some White leaders also pushed for Rhodesia to end White rule (e.g., American president Jimmy Carter). Newbies, why not study how and why Rhodesia became Zimbabwe? Lots of lessons there, e.g., once you give up your White country to Blacks, hell awaits, there’s no turning back.

[1] Jewish diplomat Henry Kissinger’s role in transforming Rhodesia into Zimbabwe

From the Atlantic
A onetime net exporter of maize, cotton, beef, tobacco, roses, and sugarcane now exports only its educated professionals, who are fleeing by the tens of thousands. Although Zimbabwe has some of the richest farmland in Africa, children with distended bellies have begun arriving at school looking like miniature pregnant women.

How could the breadbasket of Africa have deteriorated so quickly into the continent's basket case? The answer is Robert Mugabe, now seventy-nine, who by his actions has compiled something of a "how-to" manual for national destruction.

The British Crown's fingerprints are all over the collapse of Zimbabwe. Their NIBMAR policy (No independence before majority rule) demanded that a Mugabe took control. The BBC was extremely active in fomenting revolt against the Rhodesian government. The crown also used its political power in the UN to draft a resolution preventing other nations from recognizing Rhodesia.

The brits eventually forced elections, which gave us Mugabe.
Mugabe most likely was backed by the UK.

Don't forget that the Queen knighted him in '94.

However, Mugabe eventually banned the BBC from the country because of their negative reporting.
I mean what sort of a douche-bag President would ban journalists because they were critical of him?
