Do they understand how a dog whistle works? It's above the hearing range of normal humans, so only "dogs" (actually many other animals) can hear "dog whistles"...

Dog whistles are not completely silent, you can hear them, they are just at a range for us that don't cause discomfort, but yet for an animal like a dog... yeah it causes issues. Even cats are bothered by them some.
