I doubt a recession can have any effect now. It is already priced into the political market, so to speak, and people will just assume the elites did it to hurt Trump. The MSM and deep state sources threatening to do it certainly would not help their side even if one happened without anybody deliberately causing it.

All we hear about this is how the corporations and deep state will wreck the economy to defeat Trump. If you are fifty year old auto worker that just got laid off and ruined so that globalists can defeat Trump, which side would you take and vote for?

I'm calling it now. The MSMs next attempt to fix the 2020 election is to bring about a recession. Here's one of their calls to make it happen.
History suggests a recession may doom Trump's re-election chances
https://www.salon.com/2019/08/24/histor ... n-chances/

Be prepared to see more of these as they try and scare the people into decreasing their spending. The plan is to scare people enough to trigger a recession. At this point they realize it's their only chance at 2020.
Yes, recessions are caused by politics stopping consumer spending.

Wow.
Time for you to learn something......again.
In an inflationary environment, people tend to cut out leisure spending, reduce overall spending and begin to save more. As individuals and businesses curtail expenditures in an effort to trim costs, GDP declines and unemployment rates rise because companies lay off workers to reduce costs. It is these combined factors that cause the economy to fall into a recession.
We don't have high inflation right now, but other things can cause people to cut leisure spending. If enough people are nervous about a repeat of the 2008 crash it could being the spiral towards a recession.

I think in order for this to really happen other factors have to lead us in the direction of a recession. MSM freaking out consumers won't do it alone, but they are already signaling all of their Trump haters to do their part to make sure a recession happens. This includes those in powerful positions rigging the game.

The 50 year old auto worker will go home, turn on the tv and be told this is all Trumps fault. They won't see this as deep state shenanigans.

There is no "deep state," there is just the state.

Every motherfucker in federal city is breaking his fucking legs to push us towards negative interest rates and doom. Inflation is not only prevalent, it has our economy in a death grip circling the drain, right now.

Trump's only gripe is that the fed isn't *more* like the ECB. The trope that Trump is "harsh" on the fed is the fakiest fake-assed news they will every shovel at you.

Trump is just another stuffed shirt politician focused only on re-election.

The Disaster of Negative Interest Policy
The monetary policy of zero and negative interest rates — if it is consistently thought through — leads to the demise of (what little is left of) the free society as we know it in the Western world. The destructive effects of a negative interest rate policy are not immediately obvious to most people, because the path toward negative interest rates may be accompanied by an artificial economic upturn that gives the impression that the economy looks good, even though it effectively lives off its substance.

Only gradually, the damage becomes visible. Economic growth is dwindling; political conflicts over income distribution are increasing; the state becomes more and more powerful; the degree of freedom for citizens and businesses decreases; and at some point, asset prices collapse and the bubble bursts as economic performance becomes increasingly impaired: Companies make less profit, jobs are lost, and consumers must rein in their demand.

I'm pretty much there. Watching the attempted coup of Trump and stonewalling of all information about the criminal activities of the FBI and DOJ has shown this.

The press runs cover for them in a number of ways. First by not reporting transgressions unless they have to(with exceptions). second if they get caught reduce impact to a few bad actors, lastly playing it like it wasn't that bad a deal. It's not just Comey, Brennan or Strzoks. The entire fucking organization is toxic. A decent guy is the exception, not the rule.

The exception that the press will go after is a Ryan Zinke who was Sec of the Interior. He pushed the idea of moving Fed agencies out of DC, the penalty for that was execution.

What I've come to understand is that to the globohomos this is absolutely true.
By the end of the Obama regime they were 100% convinced their dream of global government ran by a combination of international corporations, the press and a few politicians was all but assured...……… enter Trump and all these Neanderthal ideas of national sovereignty. They foolishly think it's Trump and not the people, this pushback against globalism is international, Trump is just a by product.
