The media is trying to shape a narrative about this primary, but it is all entirely fictional. Fake news. Fake polls. Fake candidates.
I am unconvinced it will work. I don't think they can gaslight people into voting for whichever establishment candidate they choose. Maybe Warren can get away with it. That's about it. The average dem just isn't likely to pull the handle for a candidate simply because television news actors told them so.
I suspect Warren could blow up like Harris did too, though.
And here is an example of one of these polls:
https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-instit ... sc_072519/
If you scroll all the way to the last paragraph, you will find this:
The Monmouth University Poll was conducted by telephone from July 18 to 22, 2019 with 405 South Carolina voters who are likely to vote in the Democratic presidential primary in February 2020, out of 659 registered voters that were contacted for the poll. The question results in this release have a margin of error of +/- 4.9 percentage points. The poll was conducted by the Monmouth University Polling Institute in West Long Branch, NJ.
Something like 370k democrats cast ballots in the last South Carolina primary (which is already low as shit and difficult to model in sample sets). This poll last month asked only 405 democrat voters out of at least 350k voters who happened to have a land line. That's 0.1% of the likely voters, which is not an adequate sample size at all for statistics. Of those 0.1% of voters, it's limited to only democrats who have land lines; i.e. white boomers, yet the majority of the democratic electorate in that state are black people. Then the "margin of error" figures they always give are total bullshit. There is no way to calculate that. It's a completely made-up figure.
These lying media actors never dissect this. They never ask these questions. The polls are designed to manipulate people into believing a narrative. The news actors just use it to craft their propaganda narratives.
Instead of arguing the narratives, maybe look around in your life. Are people likely to be persuaded to vote for one of these establishment candidates this time around? I am not so sure. Warren is their best bet for that, but she is going to lose very badly in the general election if they go with her.
