Yeah, independent scientific experts don't know what they are talking about and we should all take food safety advice from a gobshite forum troll.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

There are plenty of advanced countries with perfectly adequate food safety who do not engage in such needless regulations.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:53 amYeah, independent scientific experts don't know what they are talking about and we should all take food safety advice from a gobshite forum troll.

...and they are free to trade with the EU if their standards meet those agreed by all members of the European Union through the democratic process.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:57 amThere are plenty of advanced countries with perfectly adequate food safety who do not engage in such needless regulations.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:53 amYeah, independent scientific experts don't know what they are talking about and we should all take food safety advice from a gobshite forum troll.
However, if the standards fall short of EU standards they cannot be imported into member nations.
This is called sovereignty over our own imports.

Yeah and they are free to be dummies, I ain't against their sovereignty, but that doesn't mean they are using their sovereignty to their own benefit, they are doing it and being counter-productive protectionist douche nozzles.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 10:09 am...and they are free to trade with the EU if their standards meet those agreed by all members of the European Union through the democratic process.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:57 amThere are plenty of advanced countries with perfectly adequate food safety who do not engage in such needless regulations.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:53 amYeah, independent scientific experts don't know what they are talking about and we should all take food safety advice from a gobshite forum troll.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
The quickest by-election defeat for any new prime minister since World War Two. Only 8 days. No honeymoon period for BoJo as ''Boris bounce'' fails to appear.
Conservative majority of 8,000 overturned by a pro-remain party.
Disasterous night for comrade Corbyn and his unelectable rabble.
Brexit party failed to beat the Tories but split the vote allowing Liberal Democrats to take the seat.
This is Boris's biggest fear and the reason for him trying to play hardball for hard Brexit even though he knows that he cannot possibly get a no-deal Brexit past the Commons.
Lol at Monster Raving Loony party beating UKIP.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
Academics think they know more than everyone else and view government intervention as the tool to force their vision on everyone else. Woodrow Wilson knows.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
Kudos on the anti-intellectualism there, Pol Pot. Academics generally do know more than everyone else, and thinking that every academic has the same political views about government is you showing some utterly asinine levels of ignorance. An academic is simply someone who has gotten their education at an "academy" (college or university). That some leftists exist in academia, doesn't turn academia into "leftism" anymore than a majority of conservative voters among steel mill workers turn steelworking into a "conservative" profession. Intellectually lazy guilt by association bullshit, Capps.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

Re: THE ERA OF BORIS
Academia is infested with leftists, to deny that is asinine. The few non-leftists there is are drowned out by the infestation actively trying to convert them and threatening their careers if they don't tow the far-left party line.
It's not just "some leftists" in academia dude, being "conservative" is now considered heretical, and if you aren't far enough to the left for their tastes, which includes almost everyone, you are actively persecuted.
