No deal is the way to go, because the EU are being twats and refusing to give you a good deal trying to leverage the UK into staying. Just leave and they'll be forced to deal with you or slit their own throats. Call their stupid bluff.

The UK is one of Germany's largest markets. LOL

Do you even think this bullshit through or do you directly from hearing it on your state propaganda agency to posting it here?

OK genius, what could the EU do to give us a deal better than the one we have had for years?
Do you even know why May's deal was rejected by the Brexit hardliners?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Do you honestly think no-deal will hit Germany harder than the UK?
Germany makes some of the best cars in the world, do you think we are suddenly going to buy shitty American cars instead?

No deal, like all high tariff trading, hurts everyone.

Here's why:

https://www.statista.com/statistics/284 ... ort-value/

The United States is the UK's largest export market and we are quite happy to maintain completely free trade with the UK. Germany is only your second largest export market. You'll be fine. We are the super power and the UK is our mother country. Germany doesn't have anything like that up their sleeve.

Germany also has the United States as her primary export market, and the UK only ranks third. BUT.. Germany is an export economy whereas your economy is not. Furthermore, if this new trade war environment escalates, Germany ends up on the wrong side of the United States, with the UK as the favored European trading partner and tariffs imposed on German exports. That leaves Germany with two of her top three export markets tariffing the shit out of her exports.

A lot of neocuck economists talk a lot of shit about how it's better to be an export economy, but an export economy has just as much fragility as an import economy. UK is pretty balanced. You are in a good position to weather this storm. A really good position, actually.

Also, Germany's top exports are quite easily targeted for tariffs. Their top three exports are automobiles, automobile parts, and pharmaceuticals.

They are highly vulnerable to any kind of trade war with those at the top of their list.

And it gets worse for Germany the more one drills down into the details.

Top UK exports to Germany:

UK's exports to Germany amounted to
$47 billion or 9.7% of its overall exports.

1. Machinery: $6.7 billion
2. Aircraft, spacecraft: $5.1 billion
3. Vehicles: $4.7 billion
4. Pharmaceuticals: $4 billion
5. Electronic equipment: $3.3 billion
6. Mineral fuels including oil: $2.9 billion
7. Medical, technical equipment: $2 billion
8. Gems, precious metals: $1.8 billion
9. Plastics: $1.8 billion
10. Organic chemicals: $1 billion

They could retaliate by imposing tariffs on your automobiles and maybe machinery, but that number 2 spot relates to their defense establishment. You could cut them off at the knees by just depriving their armed forces of equipment to keep their air force and army operating.

They rejected it because it was a shit deal so that the UK wouldn't sign it and try to delay until they can trick the rubes into voting against Brexit in a new referendum. The EU will give you a better deal, because if they don't, they are shooting themselves in the foot, and they ain't going to get you to rejoin the EU by punishing you for no good reason.

So, tariffs on exports to and imports from all 27 members of the EU (2/3rds of all UK trade) is going to be better for us than Germany losing free trade with just one of its trading partners?
Germany will still sell its cars but our costs go sky-high.
That's without even taking into account the chaos at our borders as the free flow of trade is severely disrupted by EU customs checks.

The EU cannot let the UK become a backdoor into Europe for chlorinated chickens and growth hormone-saturated beef.

This is why the Northern Ireland backstop is still the sticking point.
The EU has to ensure that imports into the EU meet the quality laid out in EU regulations.
This is non-negotiable as the EU has stated since day one.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
