At least the cops chose to actually defend this gun-free zone. Imagine if there were no cops around and just thousands of disarmed people.

Imagine the carnage if half a dozen have a go heroes opened fire and then another dozen opened up on them.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 12:37 pmAt least the cops chose to actually defend this gun-free zone. Imagine if there were no cops around and just thousands of disarmed people.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

‘Red Flag’ Gun Control Bills Pick Up Momentum With G.O.P. in Congress
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/06/us/p ... ntrol.html
Congressional Republicans, under pressure to respond to this weekend’s massacres, appear to be coalescing around legislation to help law enforcement to take guns from those who pose an imminent danger — a measure that, if signed into law, would be the most significant gun safety legislation enacted in 20 years.
“Red flag” laws such as this might not be as momentous — or controversial — as the now-expired assault weapons ban or the instant background check system, both of which were enacted in 1994 as part of President Bill Clinton’s sprawling crime bill. But they may be politically feasible.
With President Trump endorsing the idea, a number of Republicans — including Senator John Thune of South Dakota, the No. 2 Republican — are embracing the concept. Mr. Thune told his hometown newspaper, The Argus Leader, that he was “confident Congress will be able to find common ground on the so-called red flag issue.”
Gun control advocates are extremely enthusiastic about the possibility that Mr. Graham’s measure could become law. The legislation is still being drafted, and advocates have not taken a position on it. But on Monday, John Feinblatt, the president of Everytown for Gun Safety, cited red flag laws as one of his two top priorities, along with background check legislation.
The evidence for whether red flag laws work to prevent gun violence is inconclusive, according to a study by the RAND Corporation of the effectiveness of gun safety measures.
got any constitutional articles on this issue fife?July 14, 2019: Graham's stand on 'red flag' laws should alarm gun owners
https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/ ... s/17022130
Sen. Lindsey Graham has engineered and is pushing unconstitutional gun laws he terms, "extreme risk protection laws," or "red flag" laws. These laws provide for unconstitutional police actions and gun confiscation. He falsely claims such laws are not in violation of our Second and Fourth Amendments. Yet, they allow authorities to take firearms from lawful citizens without constitutional due process and evidence of a crime or planning a crime. A disgruntled neighbor or relative can make false allegations that put these wheels of injustice in motion.
No doubt he is pleased that 15 states now have such laws and hopes every state will do the same as he pushes them at the federal level.
The senator says he has the support of the National Rifle Association, which is no surprise. Leadership of that organization has been betraying its members for two decades by compromising with anti-gun politicians.

It's all unconstitutional, Mike. All of it.
Self-defense is a concept the state can't abide. Those shifty fucks in Philadelphia knew that.
