I'm pretty sure if there were cops in my school when I was growing up.................. I'd still be in jail.

There were in mine, and we had no issue with them, because if we didn't respect our teachers my parents would show me the back end of their hand.

Rural, but I think just about any school system would ruin your life at 16 for that one today.

Depends on the person, but I doubt the rural cops would care. They'd let the school administrators handle it, most likely.

Rural cops aren't like cops in the inner cities, or even large towns. Most rural cops probably know your parents... at least they did when I was growing up. So when you got in trouble, your parents knew about it before the newspapers... or even anyone in authority.
