No. Not "has been". Just that they try. They are competing on the same free speech stage as everyone else. That's no indication that they've succeeded in finishing any "hijacking" attempt. Not globally, at least.

There has always existed numerous ideals about "social justice" (mostly before anyone called it social justice). Notions of "the common good", the ideal among the old nobility of Europe that they had a natural obligation toward a just rule over their subjects, a society of duty and obligations.
