Just for (Monte's) clarification, can/do elementary schools in some US states ban students from taking their own homemade lunch with them to school?

And was this school in particular one who either prevented students from doing that, or did it both allow home-brought lunch as well have its own pre-paid lunch system?

If this is parents withholding payment because they don't like the school giving free lunches to the poorer students it's a very different story from schools charging too much and parents not making alternative arrangements to feed their kids.

The government schools are nothing but a graft/jobs program for democratic party voter blocs (public employees). They steal money from tax payers and then fail to deliver even a modest return on the public expenditures.

Meanwhile, patents cannot afford to send their children to a real school because the government racket is plundering their income to the tune of many thousands of dollars per month. Nobody consents to that.

Then when parents cannot afford to pay even more money for the shit food, or refuse to pay those bandits one more dime, those government banditos threaten to steal children too if they do not get paid.

Furthermore, I think you lost out on an important aspect of freeloading: consent. A freeloader choses to do this. A guy who hides money in his sock and chooses not to inform his armed robber that there is more money to be robbed is not a freeloader. He did not choose to be a robbery victim.
