Only 30% of the world's oil passes through the Straits of Hormuz. It could easily sail the long way around like the tanker seized in Gibraltan waters did.
Might push the cost up a fraction but no one is running out of oil if Iran tries to shut the Strait.

I don't want a war. I'd rather that Trump hadn't withdrawn from the accord just because Obama had signed it.
It was the Trump administrations policy on Iran that the Ambassador had described as chaotic. He also said Trump withdrew just because Obama had been a signatory to the deal.
Iran was complying with the conditions of the deal right up to the point Trump pulled out.
