Cricket came home.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Got to feel for the New Zealand team though.
Neither side deserved to lose.

Re: International sports bar
This was the first England cricket match shown live on terrestrial TV (free to view) since the 2005 Ashes win.
SKY sold the lease to channel 4 for the final.
The viewing figures were massive.
Hopefully, the attention being generated by this match will hasten its return to free to watch TV.
Kids are getting excited by cricket again now so it's great news for future generations of England players.
The recent India v Pakistan match may be the most watched TV event ever with over a billion people watching at its peak. That compares to a puny 114 million Superbowl viewers.
If it wasn't for your civil war soldiers preferring baseball because their constant marching meant they couldn't have the well-prepared pitches needed to play cricket you could have been a part of it.
It's such a shame that war has meant you have to now watch a version of rounders that is reserved for children and girls in England.

Thanks.
If we can double up by winning the rugby world cup in a final against New Zealand this November and if it is anywhere near as close as the cricket I can give up watching sports because life as an English sports fan will have reached its peak.
I mean, who really cares about the football world cup?

The whole final in 8 mins.
A couple of stunning catches by NZ that I'd missed when I had to go out to help put a tent up.

I reached that peak in 2016. It’s a wistful but satisfying place to be.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 2:08 pmThanks.

Re: International sports bar
A World Cup without Italy is no World Cup. Let the best teams in the World in, enough of this regional quota garbage, and if you are going to have regional quota garbage, let more European teams in.

Yeah yeah you've given us your opinion on this already. Many times.

And it remains as salient a point as it ever was. Not letting the best teams play in the World Cup makes for a shittier than optimal World Cup, derp.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 1:46 amYeah yeah you've given us your opinion on this already. Many times.
