Re: The Bitcoin Thread or, How The Fed Is Going To Fuck You
I wonder if that could be used to guide public policy as a kind of rubric governing which policies we ought to pursue? That is, prioritized solar dollar generation first, use conservation principles for mineral dollars, and penalize paper dollars.
So if Wall Street wants so new bullshit, we can just point to the rubric. That incentivizes paper dollars over solar dollars; not gonna happen.
Helping people to create businesses that actually produce shit (either from fixed reserves in the case of mineral dollars, or true renewable wealth creation in the sense of a solar dollar) seems like a better activity than helping people shake each other down like merchant cunts.

AJ might be a "crazy conspiracy theorist" but....
"Horns are growing on young people’s skulls. Phone use is to blame, research suggests."

Just wait for that new even higher frequency RF "5G"!! Don't worry, it's "perfectly safe".

It's not money.
At least the USD is marginally "money", even though it is only "money" insomuch as people believe it to be such when it in reality it is inherently worthless.

BTC is an actual store of wealth and that will never go away. Like it or not, it's here to stay and nothing anyone says or thinks will change that. Trump isn't actually negging it that hard to my ears. Lyra, however does have bad implications and works in exactly the opposite manner as crypto was designed to do. Think social credit system. It is also backed by a very large array of multinational conglomerates. One of the most obvious implications would be short circuiting laws in place that are supposed to keep money in political campaigns clear level, so basically another way for social media to electioneer.
I was actually aware social media would be rolling out "crypto" currency of their own years ago and lost some money investing in a kik erc20 token. Nobody got a chance to get in on the ground floor of Lyra it's top to bottom infrastructure development. I don't know if it's even incorporating block chain technology, though I've heard that's one of the fears about it. It would make financial donors to political campaigns to social media hard to track.
