A "bold" mission to seize a super tanker taking crude oil to Syria was carried out by a team of Royal Marines who rappelled onto the ship from a helicopter.
Backed by other troops from 42 Commando on inflatable speedboats, the operation off the coast of Gibraltar was carried out with no shots fired.
Mapping data shows the tanker had sailed from Iran. If the oil on board is confirmed to be Iranian, the tanker would also be violating a US ban on Iranian oil exports.

Not much of a loss, it was less than 1% of all Jim Bean production, and the barrels that went up were under a few years old, and weren't ready for consumption anyway.

The tanker was seized for contravening EU sanctions on Syria.
The EU is still trying to work with Iran and is not looking to go to war with them despite the US's embargo and sabre rattling.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Europe is in range of ballistic missiles from Iran, and they are generally appeasing pussies, so.. maybe their opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

Seizing an oil tanker is a pretty good way to start a war...

With whom? Who even owns those God damned things?
International shipping is a huge gray area of multi-level shell corps and a lot of criminal shenanigans. There's not telling who owns any ship you see out there, really. The cargo belongs to one corp. Another corp manages the ship. The ship is registered to another corp in some stupid place like Panama. The people receiving the cargo are yet another corp.

Another thing.. Nukedog is hung up on the Jews, but if I had to point a finger at any one cabal behind the globohomocomplex, it's the bloody shipping industry.
It's not the energy companies. It's not the defense contractors. It's the fucking shipping industry. Do you crackers have any fucking idea how much shit has to be moved around this planet to keep this HIV empire running??
And who do you think is dumping all those Africans into Europe?
