The State of Texas did a study on Militias and had some interesting findings. It's pretty well written and talks about how people are radicalized, and how the Press and Hollywood paint a picture of who the bad guys are. Here's one nugget.

From what I've seen the militia groups are more interested in defense of what they see as wrongs against them (like the Bundy thing), and being there if government collapses, but they aren't particularly interested in overthrowing the government.

The bigger story here is that they mayor ordered the police to stand down and the police stood by and did nothing while it happened.

The democrats are violating the civil rights era laws all over the country with impunity.
