Honestly, how does John Bolton keep getting power, when everyone knows he's a total, utter madman of a warmonger? He's behind all the worst US foreign policies since 2000.

After 9/11, Iran seemed to be getting better relations with the US, and they even offered support and Iranian bases for taking out Al-Qaida and Taliban when going into Afghanistan. Then John Bolton came up with the "Axis of evil"-concept, which destroyed any hope for better relations with Iran.

Then, he made the US pull out of the ABM-treaty, which wrecked any hope for cooperation and nuclear deescalation with Russia. And now recently, the INF-treaty, which only got outdated because the ABM treaty was gone.

And everyone's aware of the Iraqi clusterfuck. Also John Bolton.

The guy is not working for the interests of the US, but Israel seems to be happy with the shit he's done. He's basically a puppet for the defense industry and Israel, and not even trying to hide it. Yet he keeps getting important positions.

This year, the New START-treaty will be outdated, and needs to be replaced. John Bolton says the New START-treaty wasn't "good enough for America", and wants a treaty which will only be in the interests of the US. Basically, give the Russians an offer they can't accept, then we lose the last somewhat functional deescalation treaty with Russia, opening up for a new nuclear arms race. The guy is working for such an aggressive foreign policy, Russia and China have no other option but to cooperate way more than they want to.

I think stabbing us all in the back on immigration coupled with threatening a stupid war with Iran might cost him a lot of veteran support. But it won't matter much unless in the off chance that Tulsi gets nominated. If she gets nominated, the veteran vote is no longer locked in for Trump.
