Television is great, don't need to live in a city to watch it though. StA might not watch it, but he's missing out because some shows push the SJW shit way too hard, his loss though. The only television I have watched in years was The Expanse, but only because I like the novels. You should try reading a book sometime. It's more interesting and it doesn't turn you into such a faggot with the propaganda.

Books were included in the "publishing industry" part. Old Jed ain't cranking out paperbacks behind the barn. Just about every 20th & 21st century artifact in your "rural world" came from a city, and likely most of the 19th century ones too. The 19th century version of Amazon, the Sears and Wards catalogs, revolutionized rural life, and not just with a steady supply of wipes. They brought to them urban production.

I doubt you're really be willing to put your money where your mouth is and live pre-industrial: nasty, brutish and short. Not least say goodbye to modern medicine which with few exceptions is developed in cities. Old Jed ain't building MRI's out back either.

True that. We more or less invented writing down good stories. The Old Testament is far more entertaining than the New, except maybe Revelations.
