I'm not a fan.
What don't you like?
I'd have to go back and confirm this. But I'm remembering he's the type of reform guy that talks a good game, but it's mostly about getting his brand of lefty in place. I'll try to nail it down better for you.

“Why can’t we all just get along” ideology is prima facie flawed.

His solutions in the book have no teeth.
His podcast solutions involve people powered candidates enacting a hostile takeover of congress via a "reform caucus" and forcing teeth into the system.
He promises to "make them squeal".
He sounds like he has really thought this through.
I truly hope his vision inspires a movement.
lol. Be careful what you wish for. A "reform caucus" to me sounds utterly orwellian. What exactly are we reforming? These flaws are baked into the cake of representative govt. You can't eliminate them.

Hell, I'm not for a Constitutional Convention right now, because I'm pretty sure the power hungry whores in DC would fuck me over and then it would be Constitutional for them to do so.

Lessig comes across as a guy who thinks he's more clever than everyone else and he can sell his brand of government control on me by his selection of phrases. First of all he's and Ivy Leaguer. I don't trust those fuckers.

It's just a different twist on the neocon strategy. Neocons convince white voters to only care about money and markets, as if economics is all that matters. Don't worry about culture, demographics, or borders. Just be a radical individualist and worry about your bling. Meanwhile every other race forms up and arrays against us.

The left version of this is the Dan Carlin-style woo woo, which seems to be Lessig's game right now. Just reform the system of the corruption and all will be well. Don't worry about your collective interests. Just focus on the money.

That's not to say money and economics are unimportant. They obviously are important. But they are not anywhere nearly as important as culture and demographics.

Another thing.. he complains that wealth inequality leads to a condition where only a fraction of a percent of the population choose who actually is in power, and we need to somehow address the money question to democratize it further.

The flaw there, in my opinion, is that the mistake was in allowing the captains of the merchant class to have this much control, not that we limited the vote. Spreading the vote rights around did nothing good ever.

I jizzed away $20 once on the "vote harder" horseshit confidence game.

Looking back, I got some valuable lessons for that loss.

But make no mistake, I'm still taking my Jackson back out of that fag's hide when I get the chance.
