Re: MHF - Hockey Thread
With both Zaitsev and Cole, I see them as decent 5th defensemen.
Good bottom paring defensemen on a contender.
They're not top four tho, so paying them $4-4.5 million long term is the only problem.
'
If they were both making $2-2.25 million on a 3 year contract, they would be good value.
Twice the cap hit they are worth with five years remaining is all that's wrong with them.

Yeah, if only they were half price, that would be pretty sweet.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 1:36 pmWith both Zaitsev and Cole, I see them as decent 5th defensemen.

I didn't mind Zaitsev in this playoff, Muzzin-Zaitsev was okay.StCapps wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 1:39 pmYeah, if only they were half price, that would be pretty sweet.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 1:36 pmWith both Zaitsev and Cole, I see them as decent 5th defensemen.

Muzzin was better than I was expecting, I was thinking just a grinder, but he has more offensive upside.
This is why I covet Pesce, a much better version of Ron Hainsey.
I would trade Kapanen or Johnson for Pesce.
Bearing in mind that Kapann will probably hold out like Nylander, invasive NHL hockey parent.
And Johnson will go to arbitration and only end up signing a one year contract.
Sandin and Liljegren are coming, but they need another year in the A.
The Leafs have wingers coming, so Kapanen and Johnsson are expendable mid to long.

So nervous, could cut the tension with a knife. Game Seven is a helluva drug.

Needed MacKinnon back so badly, got to beat the Sharks, the hockey gods, and maybe even the Basketball refs. Decent start after MacKinnon's return, keep it going boys, play so well none of them can take it from you, that's the only way.

Perfect timing too. Hopefully getting the monkey off his back in the series will have him shooting some more.

Even if the Sharks choke this game away, Avs are so beat up at this point, I'd have to pick the Blues to knock them off. No one on the top line is anywhere near 100%, that's a fucking problem.
