Has the clock struck midnight yet? There are a coupe of heavily left-leaning forums I visit to get the perspective of how the other half lives so to speak. It's getting serious scary and dark in there.

One place has a 2020 election thread similar to the one we have here. That thread has literally taken the turn of people recommending they all get guns to "defend themselves" from the evil hoards of Fox news zombies who will inevitably come to exterminate them. There is also lots of talk about how the world is doomed to end because of rich people are basically responsible for the climate change that is coming to end us all. I guess, unless the Republicans don't get them first. Many discuss how today is the best remaining day there is because it is inevitable that every day after is going to be worse. Maybe they will get so despondent they'll use their newly purchased firearms on themselves before using them on anyone else.

This isn't just 1 or 2 posters, it's the overwhelming tone of a thread with dozens of posters, and the site isn't even a political one.
