The reason this is so important to the neoliberals is that equality is a fundamental premise of the Enlightenment and necessary for their ideology to actually work in the real world. If all these dindus they are shipping into Europe and North America can't actually function in our economies or armed forces, then the entire experiment fails. But more to the point, it would disprove the tabula rasa basis of Enlightenment political thought.

Obviously not all humans are equals. We all have different talents between us, individually, and we have different talents between us racially. Nobody bats an eye when it is claimed that African genetics confers advantages in certain sports. But when you mention that cookie can crumble with respect to IQ and holy shit flame the thread!
