I haven't listened to the three and three quarter hour "debate." I've been listening to people recap it and some sound bites.

My opinion being formed already based off people that slogged through the pay per view, (more on that below,) is that Peterson is beating a dead horse. Peterson is not doing us any favors by prepping for this "debate" by reading Dad Kapital and going into this attacking Social Marxism. He makes some good points that are old already such as the fact the proletariat revolution realized that there will never be one in the West so they substitute working class westerners for bougie racists. Also, *zzztchk* or whatever unfortunately relied on the fact nobody adopts the term "cultural Marxist" which is more of a slur that is used by people on the right than anything real.

Also, double house mics like it's a concert. Sounds bizarre.

Arguing that Marxism always fails or kills people is easily countered by “not this time.” The debate against Marxism is a difficult one because it’s everywhere: the nuclear family is Marxist, Christianity is Marxist, small children are taught to be Marxist; so there are plenty of examples of it working in everyday life. The argument against Marxism must be framed as a competing ideology with liberty, but first you have to agree that liberty, Jeffersonian liberty in particular, is the goal. I’m not sure if there’s even a majority of people on this forum who want Jeffersonian liberty? Lot of theists here.

The Amish are Marxist. Virtually every community-based lifestyle is Marxist. Who needs to walk on the moon or use zippers when there’s one person somewhere who needs 24/7 attention for whatever reason?
