Maybe the most interesting character in all of this is Carter Page who was exonerated by Mueller.



The FBI used Carter Page to get a FISA warrant on Trump. A FISA Warrant was necessary to make their spying on Trump legal. However they needed proper predicate of crime to get a FISA Warrant. With Carter Page exonerated, it shows at best, the criminal predicate was faulty. In other words the entire investigation is fruit from a poisonous tree.*

How could the FBI be so wrong, on such a high stakes issue? Because they had Carter Page as the go between for Putin and Trump.

Then there's Carter Page himself. At best, he's just one of these guys that hangs around east coast elites going from job to job, making a living.

At worst, it goes into a conspiracy against Trump. There hasn't been much of a reason why Page joined and left the Trump campaign. Maybe it was all innocent. Then there's Carter Pages background.

In 2013 Carter Page was working as an “under-cover employee” (UCE) of the FBI, helping them to build a case against “Evgeny Buryakov”. In March 2016 Carter Page remained their informant pre-trial leading to a pleading of guilty from Buryakov.

So, the same month Carter Page is an FBI employee, with a history as an UCE, he joins the Trump campaign. What are we to think about Carter Page ?
A) He's just an innocent guy that got caught up in global politics
B) He was an FBI employee that then went to work for Trump, presumably because his employment with the FBI ended. Then became the predicate to investigate Trump.
C) He was and still is an FBI undercover employee, thus had to be exonerated by Mueller


Are their other options ? He's a curious character at the center of what happens and I haven't seen enough evidence to say what really happened.

I think this is the root of it. Progressivism has had a 100 year run, and it's time is over, it's dead. The last great Progressive of success was LBJ. Pretty much everything the modern left proposes today is a retread of LBJ and his great society. Racism, Feminism, Progressive tax code, etc.

I fully admit my background, reading of history and reading of the 4th Turning has biased me in this point. I don't know if I'm projecting past events on the present, but current events fit past major shifts in American history at least.

I see patterns in America. I see how things get entrenched, mostly in urban areas, people get comfortable with the status quo and concentrate wealth, leaving behind a large number of people. Then there is resistance and eventually 'war'. We see this in the American Revolution, +4 gens, Civil War, +4 gens FDR coup, +4 gens Trump coup.

If that is accurate, that means Trump is figure that will be on par with Washington, Lincoln and FDR.
That should scare the shit out of Never Trumpers.

The conclusions drawn seem to depend on who's writing them.

Fair enough.
Mueller gave his team 200 pages of teenage girl gossip to keep the dream of destroying Trump alive. Now many don't think he should have done that. Mueller was a prosecutor, who found no collusion or obstruction of justice that was punishable. So under tradition of Western Law, Trump is exonerated, unless you want to get rid of innocent until proven guilty.

What looks really good for Trump is how he has handled the entire thing. A month didn't go by where Trump wasn't expected to fire Mueller. He weathered the entire thing and let it play out, and further didn't use executive privilege to hide anything Mueller said. Trump could have pulled an Obama and hid most or even all of the report, aka Fast N Furious. But he didn't, and he didn't stop the probe, he let it play out.

Trump looks like an innocent man to me.

Mueller the prosecutor did not prosecute Trump.....for anything. Not did he recommend prosecution....for anything. After 2 years of trying. The only ones who do not define that as innocent are those with TDS.
