Re: Alberta election
NDP overreached, Conservative Landslide. Rachel Notley is Bob Rae 2.0, Doug Ford West wins. Same thing happened in Ontario in 1995, Mike Harris knows.
Any time the NDP actually gain power, they piss off everyone so bad it incites a conservative backlash like clockwork. They always hang themselves, just feed them rope, and presto Conservative majority government. Even Canada isn't left wing enough for people to put up with NDP once in power for long, Alberta and Ontario know.

Re: Alberta election
The Liberals are so hated in Alberta that they are just a fringe party there.
Instead they have the same Urbane Hipster Faggot Climate Barbies under a different banner.
There are two right wing parties, the Progressive Cuckservatives and the Wildrose Tea Party.
When they split up, the Urbane Hipster Faggot Climate Barbies in the cities can seize power.
So the two right wing parties got back together as the United Conservatives.
Thus they are taking control back from the Urbane Hipster Faggot Climate Barbies.

Re: Alberta election
Prime Minister in French is Premier Ministre. Which means First Minister. Premier for short.
At the federal level the full 'Prime Minister' title is used,
At the provincial level, the short version 'Premier' is used to differentiate from the federal.
In English pronounced like "Preemyur". In French pronounced like "Premyay".

Re: Alberta election
So Jason Kenney took it down...
We have two big populist premiers in Canada now.
Doug Ford... the sequel to Rob Ford (famous politically incorrect Toronto mayor, crack addict, RIP)
and now Jason Kenney.
The difference isn't in Alberta of course... (populism has been the order of the day in Alberta for ever)
The difference is that Alberta and Ontario now have a weird possibility for common ground...
That has never happened to my recollection...
Smitty?

Who cares? The populists aren't going to do anything. The bureaucrats aren't scared of Canadians.
Call me when it's time to hang people from the lampposts, otherwise I'll be on my deck drinking margaritas.
