I melted cheese in the microwave.
It was still cheese.
And it was still worthless for fighting the undead.

You are steadfastly missing my point. I have not disputed it's dragonglass, but they have no idea if melting it would let the magic out. Anyone who has any material knowledge knows that melting shit changes its properties. There could be any number of reasons other than the basic material as to why it kills the dead.
Dude, melting it doesn't let the magic out, in the far flung past of GoT they used dragon glass weapons and forged them same way to fight off the white walkers last time. You are overthinking shit, acting like they are blacksmith nerds, they aren't, it's just magic weapons dude. This show isn't Forged in Fire, quit acting like it is.

dragon glass on the other hand isn't useless when forged into a weapon, if it was they wouldn't be doing it. Fucking blacksmith nerds think GoT gives a shit about their nerdiness, hilarious.

Dragon cheese loses its magic when chipped by flint.
Or “knapped”.

fucking please, if nothing else happens in the last season, make it so the dragon glass magic is broken and doesn't work correctly when the white walkers finally attack

Leave it to a Caucasian male to agitate for more white privilege.

That's not going to happen, they aren't going to appease blacksmith nerds because you think dragon glass looks too much like obsidian. We've seen the dragon glass weapons work, so it's already established as working on the white walkers. Why would they make it not work all of a sudden? That makes no sense, and it would not make the show better.

It already worked, making it work for no reason, would undermine established canon.
