Bednar has clearly assigned Landeskog to deal with Tkachuk.
And it's working.
Once Tkachuk is neutralized, the Flames got nothing.

Funny part is, they kicked our ass all regular season, but watching this series, you would certainly never know it.Smitty-48 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:37 pm Like Colorado is caving the Flames in here.
Flames can barely get out of their own zone.
Flames being exposed by Colorado speed.

Because they had a Cinderella Season. Everything broke their way in the regular season.StCapps wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:41 pmFunny part is, they kicked our ass all regular season, but watching this series, you would certainly never know it.Smitty-48 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:37 pm Like Colorado is caving the Flames in here.

They will turn back into pumpkins at some point, Colorado might as well impose that on them now.

Colorado can only beat themselves here.
But again, I think Grubauer is way hotter right now than Varlamov ever was.
Unless Grubauer suddenly shits the bed, I expect the Flames to go down rather quickly.
I see no signs of shakyness from Grubauer, he still seems to be in the zone he was in down the stretch.

Yeah Grubi's in the zone, if he keeps it up, Flames are fucked.Smitty-48 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:47 pm Colorado can only beat themselves here.

You know he's hungry, playing all those seasons behind Holtby.StCapps wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:49 pmYeah Grubi's in the zone, if he keeps it up, Flames are fucked.Smitty-48 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:47 pm Colorado can only beat themselves here.

Avs are getting Grubauer in a breakout right now with something to prove.

I rewatched the game and Andreas Johnsson was the spark which drove the Leafs.
Because he replaced Kadri on the power play.
Kadri ain't scoring. . Johnsson is scoring.
Kadri being suspended is actually a boon not a burden, at least on home ice.
But since he loses his cool in Boston, he wasn't helping there neither.
Kadri is expendable.
Yes, he has a nice contract.
But that makes him a very sought after commodity for trades.
And even if his contract is cap friendly, I still rather spend the $4.5 million on another player at this point.

I'd rather have a guy who actually crushes people, like Ritchie or Wilson or Byfuglien.
Kadri the crazy hot head is dangerous out there, trying to injure, but he's doing that because he's not big.
He doesn't actually crush people, nor does he beat the piss out of them.
He's not intimidating physically, so he ends up cross checking them in the face.
