Pittsburgh shitting the bed too, Islanders up 2-0 in this series. If they don't hold serve at home, they are in big trouble.

Jets nation is stunned.

Hopefully the Leafs can jump on this 2-0 upset bandwagon.

https://thehockeynews.com/news/article/ ... e-playoffs
BUFFALO – Fresh off being named winner of the Hobey Baker Award as the most outstanding player in U.S. college hockey, Cale Makar is ready to go out and win a national championship, then sign and play in the playoffs with the Colorado Avalanche, in that order.

He’ll have the opportunity to accomplish the first one Saturday night when his UMass Minutemen face the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs in the Frozen Four championship game. And there’s a very good chance – pretty much a slam-dunk, actually – that shortly after that game, Makar will be on his way to join the Avalanche for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series against the Calgary Flames.

“Hopefully I’ll be joining the Avalanche,” Makar said after accepting the award Friday night. “You never know. Obviously it’s what (the Avalanche) want and we’ve communicated and stuff, but there’s not much on the table right now due to the fact that we’re still playing.”

The Avs could sure use him on the back end right now, that I can tell you. A definite upgrade on Zadorov, Nemeth and Cole, right out the gate, plus he's a lot more physical than Barrie or Girard.

I'm excited, hope he's the shit, he tore college hockey a new asshole as a sophmore, so that's a good sign.
