Nice deflection by Evander Kane on that Karlsson shot, 4-1 SJS, looks like they shook off the late season rust pretty well.

San Jose throws the switch.StCapps wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:25 pm Nice deflection by Evander Kane on that Karlsson shot, 4-1 SJS, looks like they shook off the late season rust pretty well.
That's the only hope for the Mike Babcock Country Club.
I have my doubts.
On the other hand they are under pressure now.
Sometimes that breaks teams, sometimes it makes them throw the switch.
I find it hard to believe they are going to phone it in, after the debacle last year.

Babcock is under the gun too.
He can't just stand around and chew his gum while they shit the bed.
This is where Babcock shows his worth or ruins his reputation completely.
Whatever supposed coaching tricks he ostensibly is paid fifty million for, better show up right about now.

Well, here we go.
Game one, on the road, because they phoned the regular season in.
They've been acting like they can just throw the switch when the playoffs come.
Now that rubber is gonna meet the road.
San Jose did it, but that's a veteran team.
We'll see what these kids got, they sure are cocky, now they gotta back that shit up.

Beauty pass by Marchand gives Bergeron an open net to shoot at, 1-0 Bruins. Leafs still phoning it in, if they are going to wake up, they might want to do it soon.

On paper, the Leafs defense is so feeble, this should be a sweep for Boston.
Other the other hand, Boston let the Leafs hang around last year and almost choked.
So while I have no confidence in the Leafs, I still think Boston can beat themselves.

Putting out Zaitsev and Hainsey against the Bruins top PP unit, that's some pretty shitty coaching right there.

Boston always starts strong, but then lets the Leafs back into the series.StCapps wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2019 4:35 pm Putting out Zaitsev and Hainsey against the Bruins top PP unit, that's some pretty shitty coaching right there.

The defense was even weaker last year, yet somehow the Leafs ended up in game seven.
The key for the Leafs is to just hang around, win the homes games, force it to come down to one game again.

If the Leafs keep playing Zaitsev and Hainsey against Bergeron, Marchand and Pastrnak, on the PK, there will be no getting back in the series. That I can tell you. Might as well pull the goalie.
