I received an email from the local Democrat Party (of which I am no longer a member) that is chillingly Orwellian:

"The Washington State Democratic party adopted this code of conduct and has asked all local political party organizations to adopt it as well. This code sets the basic expectations for conduct and behavior by our party members in dealing with each other and the general public. The procedures document establishes an objective protocol and method for handling complaints from our members on others who they believe have violated the code."
