What they have now, is a farce. Perfect is the enemy of good. Zerohedge would bitch about any trade deal, regardless of how good or bad it is.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 5:19 pmLMFAO what a farce

The trade war is just for show anyways, so long as Trump checks the box, the box is checked. Nobody is going to read the fine print.StCapps wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 6:22 pmWhat they have now, is a farce. Perfect is the enemy of good. He starts a trade war, then agrees to a truce that he can’t enforce that goes into effect after his presidency.
His bluff is called. He’s folding. Game over.

Trump does not have to do much, to beat the Democrat bench.
The Democrats are blowing themselves up, Trump is simply the beneficiary.

Trump has in fact stolen the Democrats platform.
Trade wars and curtailing immigration to protect the industrial heartland, is the Democrats.
Except the GOP has taken that from them, and in response, the Democrats are trucking out a buncha Socialists.
I don't see the Socialism thing flying outside of urban centers and college towns.
The Democrats already had those votes locked in, so that doesn't gain them anything.
The Democrats are doubling down, but not laterally.
It's all intensification in districts they were going to win anyways.
It's like the Bernie Bros think they are running for election in Canada.
In fact, a lot of their shit it too left wing even for Canada.

Yeah. I lie awake at night fretting about that god knows what on a daily basis, from shifty, elusive Chinese master spies...heydaralon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:46 pmShow a little more respect. Those chink spies are everywhere doing god knows what to god knows who. They are not a trustworthy people.BjornP wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 4:06 amMaybe recklessly stupid, instead? Or, China is just still so new to this whole game of international spying and hegemonic influence, that their spies are just hopelessly incompetent.Hastur wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 12:28 amWTF
Is this some crazy person or are the Chinese this recklessly arrogant and just counting on playing stupid when caught?

Or... *dramatic music playing in the background*... it's a US government conspiracy. Either the Deep State trying to infiltrate the Trump administration or the Trump administration trying to create anti-Chinese sentiment to bolster popularity or change the public's focus.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

Indeed, both the trade war and the trade deal is simply checking the boxes. The boxes will be checked, and no one is going to read the fine print, no matter how much zerohedge whines about the fine print.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 7:11 pmThe trade war is just for show anyways, so long as Trump checks the box, the box is checked.
