Over here on Oahu, Weed whacking crews are in perpetual motion around this island, not unlike the painters that spend a career going over the the Golden Gate Bridge everyday, and a surprising amount of the crews are women. I have seen 10 men (person?) crews that had 7 or 8 women out there slashing back the jungle with their Shindawas. Pothole filling, on the other hand, is apparently all man's work.

I don't measure our progress by the percentage of us who go for yet another low paying job. We could stay waitresses and receptionists if the point is to stay down. We need to rise up.

There was a movement for a long time to get full time SAHMs more respect, which would have moved a lot more women towards equality. The result was a backlash towards job security for those women. This board is constantly railing against women receiving any share of family pay for their job.

You should, princess. Men who only qualify for those jobs don't get the privilege of going on welfare and becoming single mothers. It's fucking outrageous that women can opt out of the shitty jobs when they are unqualified for anything else and you call that equality.
