Your information is incorrect. My sister-in-law has been doing yoga for years. Last year, she went for her teaching certificate. During that period, she was asked to practice a vegetarian (not vegan,) lifestyle for the six-month training period. She mostly complied, except for Thanksgiving & Christmas and some exceptions, like black beans, which need salt pork or bacon. She went back to eating meat right after the last class.
