With two first round draft picks, and no real chance of winning, even if the Avs do make the playoffs, my eyes are on the off-season as well.

Too late to fire Bednar, and I don't see the Avs going very far with him as the coach.

Leafs West and Avs East ain't so different, aside from Leafs West having five picks in the first three rounds, and Leafs West is more likely to fire their coach since he doesn't have big contract.

Ain't no Bill Belichick's in the NHL. Shanahan was fooled into thinking Babcock was NHL Belichick, hence the contract, but he's not.

Plus Shanahan wasted time on both Two Phones and Hunter Hockey Genius, both useless.

Then he chooses Dubas, but saddles him with Babcock.

If the Leafs choke again, I think Babcock could be gone.

Or he will get to the beginning of next season but if they don't dominate, he'll be fired then.

Shanahan is commited to Dubas now, Dubas has to have his coach, if that's Sheldon Keefe or whoever, so be it.
