Indeed. Without skin in the game, they don't care about your opinion. They care a lot more what their customers think, than what their non-customers think.JohnDonne wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:48 am"The only ones standing in the way of a better life for all, are the ones that won't give their money to the meat industry!"StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:45 amNo, they shouldn't. Yes, they should.
Factory farming should not exist.
You just aren't prepared to give up cheap meat. Just like you are not prepared to pay for a lower carbon footprint.
Shitty self-interests getting in the way of a better life for all.

Vegans are like a mosquito bite to the Meat Industry, they ain't scared of you, you are no threat to them, and you won't be anytime in the near future either.

My interests are in not destroying bio-diversity to feed your caged animals.
My interests are in eliminating famine.
My interests are in treating animals humanely.
You just want cheap meat for yourself.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Your interests are self-interests, just because you claim to want a better world for everyone, including the animals, doesn't change that.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:51 amMy interests aren't self-interests though.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:45 amNo, they shouldn't. You want the moral high ground, but you don't actually have it, you just think you do. You think everyone who eats meat is for all the worst practices of the Meat Industry, just because they won't stop eating meat. That is an obvious strawman demonizing those you disagree with.
The problem with most vegans, is they think they are more moral than those who aren't vegans, and they act like insufferably sanctimonious douche bags because they think they are holier than thou and thus look down their noses at those who haven't adopted their chosen lifestyle. Fuck those Vegans, and the horse they wouldn't ride in on, because that's animal slavery or some shit.

If we are now at the point in the discussion where you tell me what I think and what my motives are I'm out.StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:55 amYour interests are self-interests, just because you claim to want a better world for everyone, including the animals, doesn't change that.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 4:51 amMy interests aren't self-interests though.

I've got huge piles of vegetation to burn before I head back to England so I'm not going to waste my time arguing with your strawmen.

Still telling me what I think and what my motives are.
I've still got better things to do than argue with your misrepresentation of what I say.

fuck animals, the food chain of command rules the world. nature isn't going to have sympathy for you when harambe tears your kid in half or when that bear fucks up leonardo dicaprio, it is a blessing that animal rights are even up for debate. people like me that spend the extra few dollars on cage free or preferably free range eggs are the abolitionists of 2019 fighting for the rights of the forgotten
