Basically, England and all her allied forces, which includes us, embargoed the fuck out of the Japs because we couldn't enter the war unprovoked and the Germans were going out of their way to not provoke us while we were shipping armament to their enemies.

Japan sued for peace dozens of times. We told them to get bent and withdraw all troops to Japanese borders. We gave them no choice. We gave the Germans even less while the majority of Americans wanted no part of it. Que the draft

Even if the Siberian troops were pinned down by the Japanese, the Wehrmacht was still out of gas at the gates of Moscow.

Stalin & Co would have simply fallen back to the Urals, then counterattacked from there.

Japan had options, they chose to attack Britain and America instead of the Soviet Union, that didn't work out so great for them.

They were literally tied up in Manchuria fighting communists. We were supporting the nationalists and then for some reason pulled all support. Japan was asking us to lift the embargoes and we told them to get bent.
